Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 and this predictor tool.

The predictor gives a rough personalised estimate based on your pre-board marks, study hours, exam-day feeling, and MCQ practice scores on SkillYog. It is not connected to CBSE's official evaluation system. Actual board results depend on answer-sheet checking, grace marks, and moderation — so your real result may be higher than the estimate. Use it for motivation and guidance only.
The CBSE Class 10 Phase 1 result was declared on April 15, 2026. The Phase 2 (Improvement / Compartment) result is expected within roughly 30 days of the Phase 2 exam ending — the indicative window is mid to late June 2026. Students can check both at cbseresults.nic.in, DigiLocker, and UMANG. See the full guide on the Phase 2 Result page.
Yes. In Step 1, choose "Yes — also Phase 2" and tick the subjects you re-attempted in Phase 2 (May 15–21, 2026). Enter study hours since April 15, exam-day feel, and confidence per subject. The tool computes both your Phase 1 and Phase 2 predictions, then applies the best-of-two rule per subject: whichever phase scored higher is what counts on the final marksheet. Phase 1 marks are never reduced by a lower Phase 2 attempt. Read more on how best-of-two works.
CBSE calculates the Class 10 percentage using the Best of Five rule: the marks of the best five subjects (including one language) are added and divided by 500, then multiplied by 100. If a student has a sixth subject (like IT 402), the grade with the best marks replaces the weakest subject to improve the percentage. You can use the SkillYog CBSE Percentage Calculator to compute this instantly.
Maths Standard (Code 041) is the harder paper for students who plan to take Mathematics in Class 11. Maths Basic (Code 241) is an easier paper for students who do not plan to continue with Maths. Students who pass Maths Basic cannot take Maths in Class 11 directly, but can apply for improvement by taking the Standard exam. The predictor adjusts the estimate slightly for Basic students as the paper is relatively more scoring.
Students must score a minimum of 33% marks in each subject (theory + internal assessment combined) to pass the CBSE Class 10 board exam 2026. For subjects with practical or project components, students must also pass the practical/project separately. The overall aggregate for passing is also 33% across all subjects.
CBSE uses a 9-point grading scale for Class 10:
  • A1 — 91–100 (Outstanding)
  • A2 — 81–90 (Excellent)
  • B1 — 71–80 (Very Good)
  • B2 — 61–70 (Good)
  • C1 — 51–60 (Satisfactory)
  • C2 — 41–50 (Average)
  • D — 33–40 (Pass)
  • E1/E2 — Below 33 (Fail / Essential Repeat)

After getting your first estimate, proceed to Step 3 and practise the subject MCQs on SkillYog for Maths, Science, SST and IT 402. Then read the official answer keys and rate your confidence for each subject. When you return to Step 3 and enter your MCQ score and confidence level, the predictor uses real practice data to generate a refined, more accurate estimate in Step 4.
SkillYog (skillyog.com) offers free CBSE Class 10 MCQ practice for Maths Standard, Maths Basic, Science, Social Science (SST), and IT 402. No login is required. The MCQs are based on the 2026 board paper pattern and include detailed answer keys.
The CBSE Best of Five rule means that for calculating the overall percentage, only the five subjects with the highest marks are considered (with the condition that at least one of the five must be a language). This rule benefits students with a weak sixth subject — that subject is automatically excluded from the percentage calculation if it lowers the average. Read the full guide on the SkillYog Best of Five Rule page.
