About This Career Interest Test
The SkillYog Career Interest Test is a free psychometric assessment designed specifically for CBSE Class 10 students in India. After appearing for board exams, one of the most important — and often most confusing — decisions students face is choosing the right stream: PCM, PCB, Commerce, Arts, or a vocational path. Most students make this choice based on marks or peer pressure, not on genuine interest. This test changes that.
It is built on the principles of Holland's RIASEC vocational psychology model — the same framework used by career counsellors and psychologists worldwide — adapted to the Indian education system and real-world scenarios that Class 10 students in India actually encounter.
How it works: You answer 50 scenario-based questions using a 5-point response scale. Your answers are scored and normalized across 10 career categories. The category with the highest normalized score represents your strongest natural alignment. There is no right or wrong answer — only your honest self-assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions — Career After Class 10
The right career after Class 10 depends on your genuine interests and aptitude — not just marks. Students who choose streams based on pressure often struggle later. Take this free test to get a personalised map of your interest profile across 10 career paths before making the decision.
PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) leads to Engineering (JEE → IIT/NIT), Computer Science, Architecture, Data Science, and Defence (NDA). PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) leads to Medicine (NEET → MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), Pharmacy, Biotechnology, and Nursing. PCMB keeps both options open but is academically demanding.
Absolutely. Arts opens doors to UPSC Civil Services (IAS/IPS), Law (CLAT → NLU), Journalism, Psychology, Political Science, Social Work, and Literature. Arts students have the highest representation in India's top administrative and judicial positions. It is also the most flexible stream academically, giving you time for self-study, competitive exam prep, and co-curricular activities.
Yes. UPSC Civil Services examination is open to graduates from any stream — PCM, PCB, Commerce, or Arts. However, Arts (with History, Political Science, Geography, Economics) is most naturally aligned with the UPSC syllabus. The key is starting UPSC preparation early, reading newspapers daily, and developing broad awareness across subjects.
Any stream qualifies. After Class 12, appear for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) to enter a 5-year BA LLB or BBA LLB at National Law Universities (NLUs like NLSIU Bangalore, NLU Delhi, NALSAR Hyderabad). Arts with Political Science and History is the most natural fit, but students from PCM and Commerce also perform excellently in law school.
Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Animation, Film Making, Music Production, Content Creation, Fashion Design, Game Design, and Photography. Key entrance exams: NID DAT (National Institute of Design), UCEED (IIT Design), NIFT (Fashion), FTII (Film). Creative careers are high-demand and well-paying in India's growing digital economy.
Career interest tests are most accurate when you answer honestly without overthinking. They are exploration tools, not definitive verdicts. Think of your result as a starting point — it shows where your current interests lie. Interests evolve as you gain exposure to different fields. Use this report to shortlist 2–3 paths to explore further through real conversations with professionals, internships, and reading.
